We’re drawing to a close on what I think we can all agree has been the most challenging of years. Weve had to retreat behind closed doors for lockdown and when the rules were eased many of us remained shielding and have been dealing with anxieties relating to health PMR, GCA or otherwise as well as the impact on our mental well being.
We’ve had to suspend our group meetings and while the transition to Zoom meetings has been largely positive, we know that some of our members are unable to participate as they are not connected to the internet or feel uncomfortable accessing this type of technology. On the other hand, Zoom technology has allowed us to connect with members far and wide and weve welcomed members from across the UK to Italy and America. Our webinars have proved successful, our helpline has been busier than ever and weve seen an increase in membership.
