Welcome
Its been lovely to feel a sense of normality returning as lockdown rules are relaxed and i hope that many of you have been able to see family and friends again, albeit in a safe and socially distanced manner.
Likewise, there has been a sense of normality within the charity too. PMRGCAuk week was a chance to spread the message about PMR and GCA to a wider audience and we are very grateful to our experts, vasculitis and CTD specialist nurse Georgina Ducker and consultant rheumatologist Dr Vadivelu Saravanan. Their talks, “Living with GCA” and “PMR beyond steroids” respectively, were very interesting and allowed many of you to get answers on a range of questions. Another popular event from the week was the launch of our photo competition for the PMRGCAuk 2022 calendar. If you have some suitable shots, there is still a little time left to enter. I was very impressed with the entries last year and look forward to seeing the winning images in due course.
